Time to Get Green with Airbnb

I have been lucky enough to experience quite a few Airbnbs in then past two years. And in those two years I have stumbled across some seriously spectacular Airbnbs that are going above and beyond the rest in being eco-friendly in their rental practices. I made a video showcasing some of these as well that can be found here.

In this day and age, given our planet and environment’s current status, being as eco-friendly as possible and focusing on sustainability is an absolute must, especially within the rental industry. These are a few eco-friendly Airbnbs that I have stayed at that are definitely worth checking out.

  1. The Crooked River Tiny House // Waterford, Maine

    Book Here!

The Crooked River Tiny House is a, well, very tiny, tiny house up in the woods of Maine. This home is only 200 square feet, but what they do with the space is seriously so impressive. The creativity and thought that went into this home is what makes it so special. There are so many hidden nooks and crannies that it takes a couple visits to even find them all! One of the most thoughtfully designed tiny homes that I have gotten to visit.

2. Tiny Home at The Outlier Inn // Woodridge, NY

Book Here!

This sweet tiny home is all about reclaimed materials! All of the windows and wood materials used in the building of this tiny home were all recycled and reclaimed! So cool! I absolutely love the look of all the windows, and the fact that they are all reclaimed makes it that much better.

3. Goodall’s Treehouse // Taberg, NY

Epic treehouse? Check. On an amazing property? Check. Built using materials from said property? Check. This treehouse, part of the Wellnesste Sanctuary is a dream. It is such a unique design, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay! I love that it was built mostly by Christophe, the owner, and his friends. Even better most of the materials they used to build it were harvested from the property itself!

4. The Green Mountain Tiny House // Jamaica, Vermont

This beautifully designed tiny home could convert even the biggest skeptic. With a full kitchen, a full bath with a shower AND bathtub, washer and dryer, gas fire place in the living room, and a loft with stairs and no ladder, this tiny home is pretty impressive.

My first ever experience of an eco-village and wow did it leave its mark on me. The beautiful property that this cabin is on is full of gardens, trails, and tons of eco-friendly accommodations.
